The Mediator Service (Mediator)

The mediator is a very simple service that passes messages between the CSols services that sit on an application server. Currently we have one mediator service per hub location. The main function that the mediator serves in the Remote Sampler system is to pass extracted collection run information from the adaptor to RsComms and to pass completed collection run information back from RsComms to the adaptor and on to LIMS.
There are two subfolders in the Mediator directory that contain log files. The ApplicationLogs folder contains text log files that are generated daily for the system. These log files contain application information such as any exception information that may be generated during operation. The CommsLog folder contains a set of XML log messages, each of which encapsulates information about a single message sent or received by the comms service as it communicates with the other services on the application server.
