The SampleManager Sync Service

The SampleManager Sync Service sits on the application server and is responsible for keeping the LabCache database used by Remote Sampler up to date with the latest changes to static data held in LIMS. The service is dormant for most of the time but runs a synchronization routine once daily at the time specified in the configuration file SmSync.exe.Config. The synchronization time can be found by opening the configuration file in any text viewer and scrolling to the last section.

 

To alter the time the process runs, simply change the value in the UpdateTime field, save the configuration file and restart the SampleManager Sync Service.
