Starting\Stopping Services on the Application Server
There are three central CSols services that run on the application server that control the Remote Sampler.
- CSols Adaptor - This controls bidirectional communication with LIMS
- CSols Remote Sampler Comms - This performs all processing activities carried out by the Remote Sampler system.
- CSols Mediator - This service manages communications between all CSols services.
There are also several additional CSols services that may or may not be installed on the application server depending on other CSols products or additional functionality that is present within the Remote Sampler system. In the image below, there are two additional CSols services installed.
Restarting the 3 core Remote Sampler services is often useful in resolving issues that may be affecting an operational system. It is not necessary to restart any additional optional CSols services
Note that the Adaptor and the Comms Service will not start until the CSols Mediator is already running. Be aware of this when restarting services.
The CSols services can be restarted using the Service Management tool within Windows shown in the image above.
