Step 1 - Insert Battery and Turn on
Insert a charged battery into the compartment on the back of the printer then push the power button on the front of the printer. The power button should light up green.
Once the printer has finished booting up, it will show the Home Menu on its built in display.
Step 2 - Insert Labels
With the printer switched on, insert compatible labels of the correct size into the label compartment under the transparent cover on the front of the printer. The labels should be fitted as shown below.
Close the label compartment. The printer will register that labels have been inserted and it will proceed to wind one blank label through.
Step 3 - Bluetooth Pairing
Open the Settings area of the Android system and select the Connections option.
Tap on the Bluetooth option to enable it if it is turned off.
On the Bluetooth screen, look through the list for the label printer and tap on it to start the pairing process.
Note that the printer may appear with a pre-set bluetooth id that is shown on the tag underneath the device (see image below).
The printer will display a prompt on the screen to accept or reject the pairing request from the phone. Make sure to push the button directly below Accept to the bottom left of the screen.
Note that if this isn’t completed within 10 seconds or so, the message will time out and the pairing process will fail. If this happens, initiate the pairing request again from the phone.
Once the pairing message has been accepted on the printer, a matching message will be shown on the phone. Tap OK to confirm the pairing request.
If the pairing is successful, the printer will now be shown in the list of Paired devices on the phone.
Step 5 - Setting a Default Printer in Remote Sampler
Once a printer has been paired with the phone, it can be used with the Remote Sampler app. To set the newly paired printer as the default printing device for the app, open the Options screen from the Home screen menu.
Scroll down until the Printer button can be seen and tap on it to open the Printer Settings screen.
Tap on the Select dropdown at the top of the Printer Settings screen to show the list of available printers. The name of the paired printer should be present in the list. If this is not the case, please return to Step 3 and repeat the pairing process.
Tap the correct printer name in the list and then tap on OK.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Printer Settings screen and then tap the Save Changes button.
Tap OK on the save prompt that shows.
